I heard RFK Jr. state in an interview that the rumor about his grandfather being a bootlegger was not actually true. I haven't done that much research on the topic, but I do know that Kennedy is a hardcore researcher of American and World History, as well as the history of his own family. He seems to know a lot more about the history of his family than his siblings do!
I found a few videos on YouTube that I thought were worth sharing. I encourage you to do your own research on this, and see if you can actually find a credible source that shows Joe Kennedy was actually a bootlegger.
