Robert F. Kennedy Jr Being a Good Husband to Cheryl Hines

The photo on the left is from a sweet Facebook post RFK recently made on his 10-year anniversary to actress Cheryl Hines. 

It's really heartwarming to hear RFK Jr. talk about Cheryl. Although Kennedy has admitted to "not being a church boy" in his younger years, his devotion to Cheryl is very evident, and it's so sweet to hear how he talks about her in interviews (some of which you can see, below). 

Cheryl doesn't always agree with him on everything, but he makes great efforts to keep her happy. He explains that his house is pretty bare (more than it would be if he were single) because "Cheryl doesn't like clutter."  

He says the sweetest things about her in interviews. In a video I saw a few months ago, he said this about Cheryl:  

"I'm married to somebody who... I don't think she has ever told a lie in her life. And she's an example, she's a role model for me. She has no impulse for (lying). I've never heard her say anything even slightly self-promoting, or dishonest, or distorted, or even an exaggeration, and she still manages to be very funny and very interesting."

I remember hearing Kennedy say something about how she brings a sense of calm and peace to the house, and she was like a mother to the kids after his last wife, Mary, passed away.

Every time RFK talks about how many kids he has, he always says the number is seven. Even though he has six biological children from 2 previous marriages, he always makes sure to include Cheryl's daughter, Catherine Rose Young, in the grand total. The kids seem to be a happy bunch who are very supportive of their Dad. 

One thing I absolutely love about these two as a couple is, when you see RFK in pics with his wife, he always seems to have a really big smile on his face. It seems like Cheryl Hines really does have the ability to brighten up his life. And it's also sweet to hear the way she talks about him, as well.

It would be refreshing to see RFK and Cheryl Hines in the white house, since Melania Trump looks so miserable in so many videos. Can you imagine knowing your husband had sex with a porn star, after you were married? While you were pregnant? I'd be pretty irritated with him too!

Not only do RFK and Cheryl get along, but she's really cheerful and funny to boot! It would be so great to see this woman in the White House! Especially for those who miss seeing her on Curb Your Enthusiasm.

It was pretty cringey to watch Melania Trump clearly looking very uncomfortable in her interactions with her husband... starting on Day 1 of his inauguration! But I get the feeling from Cheryl Hines that she wouldn't have to be forcing a smile. It's not that I don't think Trump would do ANY good in a second round in the white house, but I shudder to think of this poor woman having to give another 4 years of smiles on cue. #FreeMelania !!!

Please note, I vehemently defended Joe Biden when some friends on Facebook accused him of being a creep.  I said that real creeps and child molesters don't actually show how creepy they are, in public. But I've changed my mind. I think he actually does show his creepiness outwardly, because he thinks he can get away with it! It seems to be a bit of a power dynamic, and it's been a real disappointment.  There was a time when I would have looked at Lucy Flores' complaints like she was being too dramatic, but now I can see exactly why she complained, and I commend her for speaking up.

Cheryl Hines makes it sound like getting married to RFK was a bit of an adjustment. He had wild animals, like an Emu that used to chase her around. He has several dogs. There are many family members and friends who come and go through the house. But overall, she seems to have adjusted well to the chaos.

It sounds like Cheryl is supporting him in his current position on endorsing Trump. Good for you, Cheryl! Hope to see you both in DC, however it unfolds!

During a carpet interview with Variety earlier this year, the married pair told an interviewer they didn’t think their marriage “would survive” if Kennedy joined the Republican ticket as Trump’s running mate. As recently as 2016, Hines had described Trump’s behavior as “ridiculous and disrespectful.” In Kennedy’s post announcing the suspension of his campaign, he thanked Hines for her support “as I made a political decision with which she is very uncomfortable.”

But he’s now revealed that Hines had at least enough comfortability with the former president to encourage her husband to sit down with him—and even to join him at said meeting. After that phone call from Trump’s team, Kennedy continued, “I called Cheryl up and she said to me ‘You should hear him out.’” He then immediately called them back and agreed to the meeting, which Hines herself attended by his side.

“I flew out to Minneapolis the next day and I had a two hour meeting with him,” he shared, “It was a really interesting meeting because he was so open.” He described the former president as “deeply interested” and “well informed” on issues they both cared about, like “chronic disease” and “making sure that we have free speech.”
