Let's face it, nobody wants their vote to go to waste. It takes a little time and effort to vote. You have to make sure you're registered, fill out a ballot and mail it in or drop it off somewhere. Or, if you go to a polling place, you have to figure out where it is, find parking, show an I.D., drive your car and use gasoline to get there and back. Or maybe you have to walk or ride a bike to get to your polling place.
All this to say, it takes effort to vote. SO NOBODY wants to vote for someone who doesn't have a chance of winning. Nobody wants to vote for a SPOILER! But luckily, RFK Jr. is the furthest thing from a spoiler.
Many years ago, a friend of mine told me I should always vote for the person I think is the most qualified, not the person who will prevent another candidate from winning. While I think that's a nice mentality to have, I still can't say I wouldn't vote for a candidate that was just "so-so," in order to prevent the election of someone I really didn't like. I've done this in several elections, and would still continue to do so.
But I can honestly say that RFK Jr. is the first president I've ever voted for, whom I am enthusiastically voting for, based on his own merits, and not because he's a candidate whom I believe will beat another party I don't want to win.
The Zogby poll is the most accurate poll you will find, because surveys far more potential voters than other polls like Quinnipiac, New York Times Siena, Harvard Harris, and Gallup.
