I was a lifelong Democrat. I voted for Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden. I did phone banking for Obama, went door to door and put signs in people's yards. I went to a Democratic rally and my heart was filled with joy when Gavin Newsom took the stage. I loved how progressive he was, and how he banned plastic bags and championed gay rights. I've long supported LGBTQ rights, and even volunteered to do the photography at a Queer Prom (and I STILL vehemently support gay rights). I've been as blue as the ocean. I even went to downtown San Francisco and protested when Trump won the presidency.
Somehow I associated being a Democrat with being a good person, who cares about others. I try to be a good citizen. I've been donating blood for the last 10 years, usually every 8 weeks. I have done TONS of volunteer work for animal rescue groups, and am fostering german shepherds that were going to be euthanized. And I've done advertising for animal rescue organizations and my blood bank, because I could see it would make a difference. Nobody asked me to, I just did it. Kinda like nobody asked Kennedy to do all the work he's doing, but he just did it because he could see there were so many situations where his help could have made a difference.
I used to think of Democrats as those type of people, who'd jump right in and save the day and do whatever they could to help others. But the party I used to know and love has changed (or maybe I just opened my eyes as wide as they needed to be).
This definitely used to be me.

And seeing how many of Biden's decisions were based on pressure from the Pharmaceutical Industry and our corrupted CDC that caters to them to rake in millions in profit.... I could no longer look past what was really going on!
My biggest wake-up call was when I could clearly see that the effectiveness of Ivermectin was being covered up. Google literally deleted this whole blog post, with over a dozen videos that showed its efficacy (luckily, Someone had archived it on the Wayback machine). Same thing for this page on Hydroxychloroquine, which was being administered by THOUSANDS of doctors with an incredibly high success rate. Many of these MDs found themselves being ridiculed, fired or both.
Doctors were being forced to give patients Remdesivir (a drug so deadly, nurses were calling it "Run, Death Is Near"). Imagine going all the way through medical school because you want to save lives, working for years to perfect your craft, only to have a medical system suddenly force you to play Dr. Kevorkian, threatening to take your job away if you don't administer a treatment that you know is deadly. And to make matters worse, many of the patients had to die alone in the hospital, with no family around.
The reports by medical professionals, that they were being silenced by a corrupt system, were unbelievable... and the mainstream media was covering none of it. Instead, they echoed the narrative that the uncontrollable COVID deaths were due to the unvaccinated, completely ignoring the risk-to-benefit ratio, while they forced these jabs on innocent children. Honest doctors found themselves caught up in a corrupted medical system that was getting paid up to $100,000 per Covid patient. And my posts to try to tell people about these life-saving remedies were being deleted from Facebook and NextDoor.
And Kamala Harris is still mandating vaccines for people on her staff... despite the fact that the SCIENCE clearly shown to increase the risk for cancer, blood clots, and sudden heart attacks.
If someone had told me even just 5 years ago that these things could happen in America, I never would have believed it. I'd never seen censorship in my life, but now I was practically choking on it.
